COMPANY DIRECTOR; BAMAKE RUMBAM
Since Bamake Rumbam formed this engineering consultancy company in 1994, he has been actively involved in the pursuit of professional engineering excellence, retaining key roles in major projects undertaken by Rumbam Engineers Ltd. In the process he has enhanced the company's reputation for understanding client's requirements while always giving professional advice such that the most appropriate engineering solutions meet developmental goals.
SENIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL); APIN WAZOB
Apin Wazob is a 1988 graduate of the PNG University of Technology with a bachelor of civil engineering in 2008 and brings with him a vast array of knowledge and experience in allied fields such as hydrological surveys and studies, geotechnical investigations, seismic design, hydraulics engineering, waste water/sewerage and environmental engineering, water supply and micro hydro schemes, marine engineering including off-shore dredging as well as civl engineering on highways, roads and bridges.
With a critical eye and analytical approach, Apin is in charge of civil engineering design and provides the basis for appropriate and innovative design solutions to problems presented by project demands, ensuring always that there is long term sustainability in project outcomes. Under his stewardship, our technical team endeavours to produce documentation that is professional and that our end product exceeds client expectations, in keeping with our goal of striving for professional engineering excellence.
Apin Wazob is a member of the PNG Institute of Engineers and registered with thhe society of professional engineers to provide professional engineering services in PNG.
SENIOR ARCHITECT; IAN TABARA
Ian Tabara graduated from the PNG University of Technology with a Bachelor of Architecture and Building degree in 1981. He joined Rumbam Engineers in 2013 and gives our company extra capacity in architectural design of houses, flats, townhouses, warehouses, low to high rise apartments, retail shops, offices, hotels, resorts and public buildings as well as urban restorative and renewal developments.
He has extensive experience in project management of foreign aid based projects in liason with government departments such as Education, Health and Police Departments and understands the complexities of working in remote areas in nearly all provinces of Papua New Guinea where he has worked individually or, as a team leader, in collaboration with overseas based professional engineers and architects.
In relation to architectural design, Ian Tabara strives for excellence in architecture and this falls in line with Rumbam Engineers goal of striving for professional engineering excellence.
Ian Tabara is a member of the PNG Institute of Architects and registered with the PNG Board of Architects to practice architecture in PNG.
SENIOR ENGINEER - MARINE INFRASTRUCTURE; ILO KOKO
Ilo Koko is a 1978 graduate of the PNG University of Technology with a bachelor of Civil Engineering degree. Since graduation, Ilo has spent most of his professional life in the field of marine infrastructure; from studies and analysis to design and project management of port facilties and developments throughout PNG and abroad. He has extensive overseas experience in places such as the UK, Holland, Australia, Indonesia and the USA.
Ilo Koko's inclusion in the Rumbam Engineers team gives our company a depth of knowledge in marine engineering that is un-paralled.
Ilo Koko is a member of the PNG Institute of Engineers and registered with the society of professional engineers to provide professional engineering services in PNG. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Transport (Australia) and an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Transport (UK).
